Hurricane Milton came along and spoiled the day!
We thought we scheduled our 2024 reunion late enough in the hurricane season to avoid being affected by tropical weather. Wrong!!!!!
This slow moving storm crept along eventually placing St. Augustine in its path. The City and all of northeastern Florida shut down.
We contacted our hotel and were informed it would remain open to the extent it could. The Jacksonville and Orlando airports were closing leaving the only way in/out was I-95.
The hotel agreed to honor our existing contract once all was sorted out. And they did!
